Our commercial sires consist of several of our Brahman bulls and our Beefmaster sires. Last year we added to the battery a full blood Akaushi bull that we purchased from Heartbrand. We thought this addition would provide a good outcross to use on daughters we had retained out of our herd sires while also improving and adding value to their offspring from a carcass standpoint. His first group of offspring were born this fall and had an average birthweight of 77 lbs.
